"If SIBO could be the cause for my iron deficiency can it also be the reason I am so chronically fatigued? I hope and pray that it's positive so I can maybe solve that issue and maybe that is the missing piece to the puzzle for healing to me.."
" just am not sure if SIBO alone can cause weakness, fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, etc."
"Maybe SIBO is causing me to not absorb nutrients and key vitamins which is why I feel so run down."
Yes , its possibly a contributing possibility on all three. With or without lyme. Sibo also can create leaky gut, so food particles can go past the micro villi vs being absorbed in them - creating fatigue and autoimmune conditions. My autoimmune thyroid improved per feel and lab testing by eliminating certain foods. Not all food leaking out cause issues. So eliminating certain foods is not the complete problem, fixing the gut and sibo is the real issue (make sense?).
Any sibo forum will show this as these symptoms can go away from sibo treatment per the people on these forums.
Eliminating these foods lowers the sibo, but wont eliminate it. Killer herbs and certain abx to kill it. Im not to excited about
more abx but I guess it stays in the digestive tract vs lyme abx.
Ive written a lot about
food sensitivities (tested for them) and my diet changes. Im recognizing a past pattern of feeling better from certain food eliminations that feed sibo, they are the same as candida foods. The symptoms are a little different though, candida is mid and upper GI, Sibo is lower, in the longer small intestine, it feels different to.
For four months Ive been eating a clean diet of food lab tested for my blood, which further heals leaky gut. (Genova labs showed I had leaky gut). I was doing great with more energy than in 40 years, and my thyroid was peaking meaning a drop in thy med would be needed for the first in 20 years. Then I started eating a lot more fruits that had low cytokin release. Mistake!!!! They still feed bacteria. I was too concerned about
cytokine release to think about
bacteria anymore! So what appears to be Sibo has come out of the darkness. Its not candida as my symptoms of that mamny times are a little different. My energy is a little lower in the last week too.
another bump in the road
Initial lyme symptoms in late 80's, again with bullseye early 90's. Started ABX 2014, ended in Jan 2016. Flares ended after. Lyme "B gone" as far as I can tell (Cured?). Now: Healing the aftermath-Rebuilding / fine tuning / fixing muscles and still improving nutrition and immune via better gut health. + 20 years of Hashimoto might now be improving.
