I tried the CBD oil and it didn't help me.
I have read testimonies on retired LLMD E. Murakami fb page - of people getting their lives back by using the CBD oil (lyme patients)
I had high hopes.
Question asked by KentuckyOConnor was for pain/anxiety, not to cure Lyme Disease and help get your life back.
I think Dr. Murakami had high hopes because of the miraculous healing powers of hemp for inflammation and pain, anyone who thinks that a single herb is going to cure lyme disease is naive, considering it took Mitomycin C(Chemotherapy) to eradicate all borrelia forms in vitro through the John Hopkins study.
However, I found CBD and THC oil very beneficial while being off antibiotics for 6-7 months, to help clean my system out of antibiotics and give my liver/kidneys a break for pharmaceutical antibiotics, while holding the infection back for the time being. Without hemp, I wouldn't have been able to go off antibiotics for that long, no doubt in my mind!
I tried the CBD oil (from hemp). I don't generally have an anxiety issue, but the CBD oil caused me to have a serious anxiety issue. I hated how I felt on it. As soon as I went off of it, those anxiety thoughts went away. I'm certainly not wanting to try it again any time soon.
And yes, I realize how ironic this is given that it's commonly recommended for treating anxiety - but caused me anxiety! I talked to a naturopath about it, and she did say that happens to some people and was likely related to my adrenal fatigue issues. Interesting. :|
The anxiety you get from CBD oil usually passes, as your body builds up a tolerance to the herb... So does with THC, sometimes it'll sprout back up again from time to time, but the other alternative is being on pharmaceutical pain pills which can lead to liver or kidney failure dealing with Chronic Lyme Disease long term. I find that a little anxiety is mild side effect compared to the serious side effects from opioids or even Xanax long term.
My personal opinion on some of the people getting anxiety from being CBD oil is that they see a first sign of side effects from the plant, they get off of it, due to the decades of demonizing surrounding the plant.
This same thing happens with Xanax folks, your body is new to the drug, so it can lead to paranoid or even suicidal ideation in the beginning, then they pass because your body develops a tolerance to the drug. As does a lot of pharmaceutical drugs, patients will go back to there Doctors and complain about
the side effects, then their Doctor usually tells them, stick it out for another week or two and see if the symptoms pass, they usually do.
I think people have this subconscious safe feeling when they get prescribed a drug from their Doctor, versus the other thing like CBD hemp or THC marijuana from a dispensary, which has decades of demonizing surrounding the plant due to propaganda. I still think there's a little bit of a mind game going on with people with this plant and many are still terrified about
it, especially religious people.
Remember folks, this is the Devils Drug, this plant will "make you listen to Satanic music. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes" Yes, there was terrifying propaganda surrounding the plant for decades.https://medium.com/@usnewsbeat/racism-weed-jazz-the-true-origins-of-the-war-on-drugs-8e6fd4ef813
Look, I had my experiences of dealing with anxiety and paranoia while being on CBD oil in early stages, even the real stuff, THC oil. Even ate too much of a THC laced edible
cookie, then tripped out. But I stuck it out, let my body adjust to the plant, just as most patients do with pharmaceutical drugs, because they're prescribed by a Doctor and your Doctor claims they are safe. After taking oils for a few months, even a few years from now, all I get is a nice relaxing feeling from them.
But hey, I know THC oil isn't for everyone due to the high. But I think a lot of these complaints about
CBD oil, people need to stick it out a little longer, they don't realize the minor anxiety feeling will pass as your body gets used to the herb and develops a tolerance.
They used to say smoking marijuana killed brain cells, come to find out, it may actually heal your brain, considering the study Real Sports did on NFL football players with CTE.https://youtu.be/accrej2l7c4?t=360
Bottom line, both CBD and THC cannabinoids might be doing something to the brain that we don't quite understand as of yet. Some people don't like the deep feeling you get when you start thinking about
death and other things. I still get these deep thinking feelings to this day with THC oil and smoking marijuana, some demonize these feelings and label them anxiety and paranoia because it makes you look at life a different kind of way, thinking deeply about
how long your parents might be around for, pollution, and maybe even analyzing yourself.... I think cannibinoids, especially THC, makes you aware of things you weren't aware of before, maybe even thinking about
a memory where you might of done something you might not should of done. Some people have demons in the closet and they flip out a little while being on either of these cannabinoids.
Again, is this plant for everyone, no! Do I think it's an incredible alternative to the other pharmaceutical drugs out there like Xanax for anxiety and Opioids for pain, yes. But I think there's people out there, no matter how much you tell them this plant is safe, they think it's the demon, and that everything the Doctors prescribe are safe.
To me, it's downright frightening thinking of the Lyme Disease patients that take pharmaceutical pain pills long term for this disease and don't think of the repercussions down the road. Very few lyme patients how long of haul you're in for when treating this chronic infection, we're talking 5 years, 10 years, even 15 years for some patients. Amy Tan just said she's finally symptom free from Lyme it's been like 20 years.
I hope everyone reconsiders this miraculous plant, as I known others who've had bad reactions to it in the beginning, but now use it as their main source for pain and anxiety.
I was just looking for some pain relief. I had read testimonies of lyme patients who had been bed ridden and the CBD oil DID give them their lives back. Did it put lyme into remission? I don't know...but it was at that time that Dr. Sapi and Murakami were doing research - and showed that in-vitro the CBD oil had good effect against spirochetes...and I think they also went on to do biofilms and/or cysts.
So, I did the CBD oil from organic hemp which is just about
I have since considered using a mix of THC and CBD - the store I bought the cbd oil from had a topical pain 'roller' which was a thc/cbd oil blend...
