I think it's always good to stay
open-minded and strategically flexible. Have you improved with antimicrobials? It's worth trying new things/angles if one is plateaued and not seeing improvement or flare with treatment. Especially after you've tried a lot of things. Sometimes coinfections are overlooked or underaddressed.
What kind of symptoms do you have? My intuition is that a good portion of autoimmune response is driven by toxins and/or infections.
Other angles that could be worth looking into: mold, mcas, parasites, viruses, metals/mercury, thyroid, sibo, etc
Unfortunately it is hard to know things with certainty, especially when it comes to this stuff. Might want to check out Dr Neil Nathan's book Toxic, could give you some new angles to explore if you feel you've exhausted antimicrobial treatments.
Can get a pcr for lyme, if you test positive that is pretty definitive. But I don't know how many cases it misses.
