This is an air purifier without a filter, and it works based on pushing the air through high temperature, it basically burns the particles. Since mold is not that easy to get rid of by killing it, I was wondering would actually burning the particles do the job, and has anyone tried it, does it work?
I don't really care about cleaning the air (it doesn't remove dust), I just want to get rid of mold.
The idea of no filter to replace is appealing to me.

Thanks!

I have grave doubts the air will be able to be cleansed for the very short time it spends inside that filter. Plus they are small and don't move much air anyway. Personally I would not bother.

I like washable filters. You can wash them regularly and keep them clean, thats the best solution from my perspective.

Just as a I thought. Research shows you would need to expose the mold to a heat source for 1/2 hr before they are deactived. That is not happening with this filter.

Can we assume that the air of a specific room is SAFE if we use a good HEPA air purifier in that very room?

I use the whirlpool whispure

maybe?

I mean its probably "safER" if nothing else

personally I like the washable filters as the mold spores get trapped in the permanent (un-washable) filters and can then breed and repopulate. Wash the filter, then hit it with some isopropyl to kill the baddies

Lapis, what brands of air purifiers with washable filters would you recommend?

Supposedly, Airfree air purifiers heat the air to 200'C.
