Dr. J gave me a script for a compounded Neuro Pain Cream.

ingredients:

Amantadine - 10%
Baclofen - 2%
Gabapentin - 6%
Amitriptyline - 4%
Bupivacaine - 2%
Clonadine - 0.2%
Ketamine - 10%

I'm willing to try it - but only if it's minimal amounts getting into my bloodstream.

Those are some heavy-hitting ingredients! I understand your concern. Personally, I would try a topical cream before an oral drug any day. The effects should be much more targeted than if it went through your digestive tract, and orals have to be high enough doses to pass through your whole body to reach the painful area. I don't know about this specific cream, but if I had a tube handy, I would be trying it out today. ;)

Thanks Sara.

The Ketamine is intriguing to me. Prior to diagnosis, I thought I might have CRPS (or RSD) ...

In case you haven't heard of it....it's a debilitating condition with unrelenting pain and patients - usually not responding to most pain killers.

I had read about Ketamine being helpful for some people with that condition.

This will bump up - for more views.
