The "Restore Kit" is a foundational, starting template. During conversations with Dr. Rawls, he's mentioned Houttuynia, Cryptolepis, and other herbs, as well as other adjunctive therapies that might be helpful to my specific situation. Perhaps the "Restore Kit" is all that some fortunate people might need, but I'd suspect that others will need additional, supportive therapies that I believe are mentioned in his book.
For whatever it's worth, I tried the "Restore Kit" for four months, back in early 2015. The formulations are different now than back at that time. Personally, I experienced some improvements, but, regretfully, I stopped the program, due to the cost.
As I've written elsewhere on this forum, I really regret quitting. If I had it to do again, I would have stayed on the program for a minimum of six months -- but, ideally, more like 12 months, before reevaluating. Since that time, I've spent far more than what the program would have cost me.
It was about
a year later that I went back on the Restore Kit for another four months. This time, however, I saw zero benefit. I have a couple of ideas why this might have been the case, but, of course, it would be pure speculation. So, who knows.
logmoss82 made some great points about
Dr. Rawls and the Restore Kit. Dr. Rawls has repeatedly written and spoken about
his gratitude to Stephen Buhner for his amazing research, knowledge, and books. Dr. Rawls has, effectively, attributed his healing to Buhner.
So, as logmoss82 wisely noted, if one is willing to read Buhner's books and follow his advice, it may be preferable to go to the source. A person would have much more control over individual ingredients and dosing. It would also be easier to determine which ingredients are causing any negative reactions.
There are also Buhner-trained herbalists that one could hire. If I were going to follow Buhner's plan, I would hire one of those trained herbalists to hold my hand through the process. I wouldn't be able to make it through his books on my own, but many others do with great success. http://buhnerhealinglyme.com/resources/herbalists
