Dealing with kidney issues, I've looked up a lot of information about things in this area. Not that I know a lot, but have read a lot of information and different thoughts.
One other thing that comes to mind, not to make you nervous, is loss of muscle fiber, which can be caused by a number of things, including infection or the use of certain medications. Again, just thinking of different possibilities, no matter how remote.
Finally, could it be a freak test result? Can they re-test to confirm?
I'm hoping for "normal for growing boys" result.
Or "freak" test result too.... Goodness, we have certainly had that before! I recall being really concerned about
one of my kids abnormally high iron levels (which made no sense to me at the time), and then retesting it a few months later and it was totally fine. I've had blimps before on our tests (hey, with four of us getting blood tests throughout the year, we've had a lot of blood tests to review!), and I'm use to slightly lower/higher markers that just go away and normalize again.
But for this one - I just really had no idea. I tried googling, and I just couldn't get good information that seemed to pertain to us.
Thanks for your brainstorming! I appreciate it!
