Yes , but for 6 months vs 30 days. Its similar to Paleo, which I also did for 1.5 years (Im now on a tailored/tested to my blood anti-cytokin diet).
Whole 30 is pretty much a marketing sceme of 30 days of paleo complete with a trademarked website. They made money of branding it and having it only 30 days LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They sell the whole 30 name on food products for a price ect.
Clean eating is good for any all body inflammation or gut and or immune issues.
The immune sys starts in the gut. Bad gut health = poor immune health.
Will this cure lyme ? of course not.
Will it help all body immune? yes.
Will you be able to tell? yes if you currently have any gut issues. Some immune lab tests might improve too, but not to many people do/did these (I did).
C4a went from 55,000 to 1400 (normal). was prob candida, since it lingers at higher levels in my past and will trigger c4a , its not always mold, but yeast and mold are close cousins that might react to similar testing.
This lowered one autoimmune thyroid test too (good).
Going 100% G/F one year ago then normalized that antibody for a whole year so far. And a ten year old thyroid tumor dissolved per imaging. Gluten is highly inflammatory to some people, don't need to be a celiac for its consequences. . Tumors are inflammation that was not controlled. So is cancer.
I see your point. Some of these diets are a bit of a gimmick and there are a lot of them.
Surely, just eating a clean diet that is gluten free, sugar free and dairy free (if needed) is the way to go? Natural, organic foods, meat, vegetables, fish (small ones) and low sugar fruits can't do us any harm.
The one thing I can't make my mind up about
is potatoes. Some diets allow them and others don't. The whole thing is a bit of a nightmare.
