Forgive my ignorance, but what other strains of yeast problems are there?
I really don't know a great deal about this. Until I was diagnosed with Lyme I really didn't know anything about this. Isn't thrush a yeast problem?
For Candida genus, there are many under that.
Candida albicans gets most of the attention (or candida in general).
For me, I am dealing with a so-called "rare" strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. If I relied on the candida albicans test (which would be negative) to determine if I have a yeast problem, then I would falsely think I was fine when I'm clearly not.
Kid#1: Extremely sick for several years, very difficult to treat, well for over 2+ yrs!
Kid#2: Extremely sick for 4 years, started new clinic/doctor, doing really good now!
Kid#3: Generally good - concerned he may relapse.
Me: Adv Labs + 2016 (suspected I passed to my kids)-not as sick as others, mostly fatigue and systemic chronic yeast issues.
Herbals and new holistic/functional clinic/doctor.
