I hope this actually leads to some kind of positive changes for Lyme patients.
It speaks volumes that it takes a Senator to die from a tick borne infection before the senate listens though. Just goes to show how lowly most politicians regard those from outside their exclusive little circle.
Maybe it will take a prominent UK politician to experience the hell of chronic Lyme before it gets taken seriously here too. Or maybe not, as they will all have expensive private care plans to take care of themselves and don't have to rely on the shambolic NHS they've spent years running into the ground.
It's going to take something monumental to sort it out. Think about
folks like Cauldwell, Matt Dawson etc. these stories are all laying a foundation for such an event to come along. It's a trickle, a slow process but eventually that event is coming along. I believe it. When it happens, there won't be 2 minutes that we won't hear about
it because of how many outraged people there will be.
As for the NHS, it's evil what they've done to it. I'm sure it can be restored though, or something new can come along even better.
Just hold on to hope, look for solutions and don't give up. 👍
