I specifically asked my daughter’s LLMD bc we have so many children in our household. The dr stated that she did not know, that not many researching such things. But that it may be possible. It is a very disconcerting thing to me that we do not know. We should know!!
We do not willingly allow our kids to drink after each other and try to keep a tight rein on hygiene type stuff, just bc it’s hard to believe it wouldn’t be transferable under the right conditions. Though we can’t prevent everything (the baby drank out of my daughter’s straw the other day), we really try our best to be cautious.
That's wisest Blakelysmom, my family is my adoptive family and I can see all the signs in them but they're to arrogant to think of it as anything else but the CDC and NHS "aches and pains of life."
Remember, you've had the stress of being put through psychiatric hell and such to deal with. It's usually after a brutal episode of stress that it comes out in full force. Knowing how awful psychiatry can be to people I understand that that's probably why you have it so bad.
There's a fair few studies, listed at the bottom of this article. https://www.aldf.com/is-lyme-disease-sexually-transmitted-2/https://www.treatlyme.net/guide/can-lyme-be-sexually-transmitted-yes
Just be careful is all I'd say. I know the chances are small (I doubt you're intimately involved with all of your flatmates😂 ) but if you're worried, which I would be to just be conscious of it lol.
I'm certain Buhner mentioned somewhere, I read that biofilms are excreted by animals and they might be able to survive that well outside of the body. I wish I could remember where I read this. Don't worry too much though. But remember that Lyme likes to hang out in the mouth. https://humanhealthproject.org/lyme-disease-and-dental-health-what-you-need-to-know/
