Seb4, I was sincerely afraid, not of fruits, but of excess of other sweet things such as maple syrup and honey in my diet too.
During lyme and my whole life, I never stopped fruits.
I had been having candida, fungal infections, bacterial infections, protozoan, malarian, whatever infections you can find in a book, for years (specially worse during the years I fought lyme).
Of course, I heard to stop fruits, but every time I did, I felt just like dying.
The worst trial was keto: that put my brain in RED ALARM and I just jumped off.
I grew in the tropics, I could go get fruits in orchards, got mangos in great amounts during high season (for free, as people throw mangos off), oranges until I died full. I grew well, healthy.
Fruits are part of my life, and I had that gut feeling that without fruits, I would not have survived lyme.
So no matter if my skin was covered with chillblains, that I thought sometimes were fungal, I still continued eating fruits, not in the amounts I'm eating now.
Anthony says fruits are anti candida!
There are a few people with high candida values , that came back to show how their candida got under control (through medical exams) by eating high fruit, high potatoes.
As I said, my chilblains that feel like fungal come back for + 25 years every winter, for about
6-9 months a year....
Awful skin infections, very painful, and my body feels like poisoned (like a bad herx) the whole time.
I get daily flares, whole winter months, for more than 25 years.
Well, this year has been my best. I can't complain, really.
Whatever this is, it's infectious, but it has been so much quieter that I barely need treatment.
All that after eating an EXTREME high amount of fruits daily.
I don't eat a lot of potatoes, simply because I can't stomach a lot (I'm of a 'petite' stature).
Besides, fatty gravies are not allowed, so you got to stomach these potatoes fat free, low salt, according to Anthony.
but fruits, yes, I'm eating them totally free. about
10 portions or more a day.
I also had problems of underweight, food allergies. Several food allergies, specially fruit allergies.
They are all gone, 100% gone. I stopped losing weight after about
5-10 years only losing weight.
So my gut is getting better. I finally got back to 41-42 kg.
last 2 months I have been doing a honey experiment.
Buhner talked about
honey, used topically, right, against all sorts of infections. He's a big fan.
Anthony speaks of a sort of Vitamin C shock therapy, which in fact, is a honey shock therapy, as he suggests 2 tsp honey every 2 hours, together with 1 gram Vit C (which is not a lot)....
So I'm taking high amounts of honey to see if my body reacts badly or good.
So far, so good. I even crave honey, and I'm eating it glass after glass.
I can have half a glass (250gr) a day without problem. I just feel good, I feel the rush in my brain, but not exciting it like coffee. Just more presence.
Absolutely no problem of fungal infections, or gut problems, nothing.
I mean, if Buhner says honey is one of the best medicine that exist topically, and if no fungus grow on honey (it can be kept for decades and it will be still good to be consumed), why not internally, in great amounts?
What can I say? I have no answers. I'm just doing experiments too, trying a very different approach.
People have tried different approaches, like myself.
In the end, I just did what I felt good on (fruits, veggies, some animal protein, lots of olive oil, leafy greens, some cheese, butter, etc). I still had chillblains yearly, I still had several fruit allergies increasing every year, I still kept losing weight, arthritis was still increasing every year, I started having then some joints with arthrosis, I still had episodes of brain fog...
All that is healing, since I changed my diet 15 months ago.
But this specific approach high on glucose, high on fructose (both only from natural sources), full of veggie juices, extreme low protein, low or practically ZERO fat sources, high on raw, zero dairy, zero eggs of any sorts, no vinegar, no rapseed, no soy, no corn... well, this exact combo was new to me.
I'm not saying it is the combo for everyone, but I just say it's been helping me.
Animal meats are PRIMARILY digested by bacteria and fungi in nature. The moment an animal dies, decomposing bacteria and fungi are the primarily critters that will decompose the cadaver.
it's a myth that dead animal meat are not feeding your candida and fungal infections, because that is the natural mechanism of degradation.
