If glutathione supplements give you severe anxiety will NAC do the same?
Rainy, in a study for OCD, it was found that adding NAC was beneficial and superior to placebo for anxiety disorders.
"Adding NAC was superior to placebo in reducing anxiety symptoms (P = .02), but not depression severity or specific OCD symptom dimensions."
In another study it was shown to be a good anxiolitic:
"The main multitarget agents that have shown consistent anxiolytic effects in various animal models of anxiety, as well in clinical trials, are agomelatine, N-acetylcysteine (NAC), and omega-3 fatty acids. Data from clinical trials are preliminary at best, but reveal good safety profiles and tolerance to adverse effects."
So it is supposed to bring anxiety relief. I think it has to do with the ability for NAC to supress glutamate.
And add all that to corona virus and influenza. All docs should use this to treat coronavirus, dont know why many dont know about
