I have Borrelia hermsii, which is a tick-borne relapsing fever. My symptoms never have matched up with it, though I test positive for it. (I also have Borrelia bergdorferi, Bartonella bacilliformis, Babesia divergens, Mycoplasma Pneumoniae, and EBV.) My symptoms have not been cyclical and do not involve fevers, so I don't know if my experience is helpful.
But yes, I have found the core Buhner protocol effective. That said, I herxed the whole time I was on it and just felt crappy, so stopped and found more improvement from focusing on my immune system, gut, and nervous system. I had the same experience with rife and Byron White Formulas - constant herx, just felt bad, stopped.
Mold and MCAS are also issues for me, so it's hard to know how much herxing I'm doing as opposed to just reacting. This is the game we play, right - the what causes what game? ;) This probably isn't helpful at all, but technically I am a person with a tick-borne relapsing fever spirochete and have tried Buhner....
