Hi, I just read a comment from Astroman that this forum is not visited as often as it used to be. Do you use or visit other resources/websites as well?

I was a regular here years ago and it was crazy busy. Back then a member by the name of Traveler and others like Astroman did an awesome job of helping people. Then this forum changed its format/software, Traveler left and I felt better so I slowly stopped coming here. Seems like many people left as well. I hope that less people here means that there are less people getting infected with Lyme and that those who used to be here with me 8 or 9 years ago are cured and doing well.

I tried to join a Facebook group based in my region but it was one of those where you request to join. I waited for weeks and my invitation was never acknowledged, much less approved/denied. I also joined another Facebook group that was more general, but in a month, only one person posted a response to a question from someone else.

With this in mind, are there any other websites or groups that you have had luck with and a good source of information/assistance?

Thanks

I’ve been here since 2014 - it isn’t as busy as it was.
I think partly because of Facebook groups that have emerged.

Thank you for your responses. Is there a Facebook group that you recommend? I have not had luck with the few that I have chosen.

Hi Girlie, Yes, I actually remember when you joined. I am glad that you stuck around to help others. over 43,000 posts/responses! That is amazing.

When I first joined, I had been infected for a year and it took that long for me to find out what I had and to find someone to help me. I can say for certain that I did not think that I would be here in 2020 still suffering. I was sure then that the CDC was right in that after a month of antibiotics I would be back to my old self again enjoying life as I had always been. Did I just hear a few of you chuckle and say "yeah, right!"
