Started to have some days to and fro last months when it got considerably better. Then back to fog again, then better etc, like 2 steps forward and one back….

But now the mind really seems to have been cleared of the fog i have had constantly since catching this sad illness.. it is possible for me again to think straight without that foggy dizziness i have had and would have for eternity it seemed…so hopefully something in the brain must have started to take the right turn …smile

I have been thinking about it. I did apply some new remedies since summer. Cant really pinpoint down any certain magic bullet though...

But I have progressed forward slowly since 2018-ish, with a lot of setbacks.. I hope this sticks though. It is great to be master over the mind once again, and it feels like i am heading for full recovery....i hope...smile

Thanks Girlie.

It is really gone, or as good as gone anyway.. Just waiting for the rest of the disease also to go away and never come back.

It is really a super slow process though it looks...sad

and btw, been following your struggle on this forum has been a lot of inspiration and given me many good advice, many thanks Girlie.. Hope you get fully well soon...

I would still have low brain fog some mornings years after most symptoms resolved.

This fall and winter it improved again - all on its own. Not all gone, but noticeable.

No meds or herbs used for it. I take less thyroid med too.

Seems like healing even after lyme treatment can still continue at a slow pace for years after.

I do continue to eat well though. That is part of it.

You also, great to hear! it is such a relief to be able to do proper reasoning/thinking again....

And yes, my experience of all this struggle is that diet is the number one thing to eventually get well.

I am trying out different things all the time, but here is a list of things I changed or stepped up since summer. Maybe it can work for others:

1. I stepped up removal of gluten from summer: I have removed/avoided gluten it 3-4 times before, but this time I removed it eaven more. Cant say it is doing anything though, when I occasionally eat gluten, like being offered a christmas cake or something i cant resist, i dont feel either better or worse..

2. Doterra oil treatment. I bought a home kit with essential oils for curing this and that.. I am quite sure it has nothing to do with getting better, although the aroma in my apartment might have improved a little....

3. Added/stepped up some vitamins: I think this really has been very positive. i added more specifik vitamin B:s, vitamin k2 and eating more omega 3 fish oil. Eating more Omega 3 i think has helped

4. I increased my gut-support in 2 ways, by taking digestive pills and drinking much less water thanbefore. This has really helped i am sure. The pill is called digizyme, it feels like it is working

5. Going more Keto 2 months ago has also been very positive, this i can feel. I think this is working.

But i dont know, As everyone else here I have like 50-60 different cans of pills, this and that, at home that is supposed to work and I eat them occasionally too.

Maybe it is just a combination of everything....

And of course, there are the obvious things i dont list here that must be removed 100% for eaven thinking of getting better (like sugar, alcohol, soda, and all the rest..). In my opinion, cleaning up the diet to almost perfection is vital...

For myself, Glutan free is only effective if at 100% elimination, 90% didnt do much. Its proved in my lab tests too, not my imagination lol. Sucks but there are a couple good GF breads finally. Junk food has gluten, but I dont do junk food besides a few GF snack bars.

Ive had about 50-60 diff supplements in the last ten years, I kept the bottles/containers of half used ones and empties.

I plan on:
1) making a list of them and record what I used them for , then toss the empties
2) Make a long narrow shelf for the remainder out of light boards, like a long spice rack.

These were first scattered in kitchen cabinets starting 15 years ago till it took to much room, then flowed down onto on the back of the kitchen counter for prob eight years.

Looks messy. An organized living area is less stressful. "Messy is stressy".

Still have left over Rx related lyme stuff too............abx, sleep, yeast killer ect

great, thanks for sharing....!

I will try step it up to 100 % then. Problem is when people offer something, its sometimes hard to blankly refuse...

As a mother of someone with celiac disease - I agree about it being difficult - but it’s definitely doable.

grejt, I think that could be my diet effort during 2021, stepping up to 100 % gluten free, and also increasing my Keto diet...

I will give it a go......smile

Moose- If you still want bread (or not) - Canyon bakehouse is the best tasting G/F bread out there by far. Its corn free too, the other brands are not. Corn can also be a cytokin "releaser". Might be since most US corn has Roundup on it. Dont know where you are, but in US, Target and walmart have it, in dry G/F area, bakery area, or sometimes in the frozen bread section.

ah,great many thanks..! I am not in US though, lol. But I will keep it in mind I might go there one day...smile

I have found out a very smart way of getting bread though, if I make too much porridge in the morning i use the excess and then make some kind of semi-bread right in the pan. Its a very quick way to get bread GF.....smile
