Hi All, just wondering if anyone with full on MCAS has a really good doc in the Northeast, USA. I am contemplating a change, really struggling with it, I currently use an Immunologist in New Hampshire. Hoping to use a doc that takes insurance.

Thank you!

Dr Khosro Farhad is a neurologist at Mass General based out of NH, specializing in peripheral neuropathies and dysautonomia. As such, I'd imagine he's seen a fair number of mast cell cases. He uses IVIG quite regularly, and this is a great treatment for mast cell that many people dont have access to. If you have any of those symptoms, it's worth it to see him. People travel from all over the country to see him.

Is Conneticut close to you?

There’s a well regarded llmd there.

Thanks Girlie, he is a great llmd and all around functional medicine doc, no doubt! I already see a llmd in NY state, have been with him for many years and they have helped with mcas but obviously its not at the forefront of what they do, despite being one of the top practices in the country, and they don't have a lot of mcas patients. I fortunately am doing great with TBI'S after many, many years so I also don't need to see them much.

If i could combine my immunologist, local naturopath, and lyme doc, into one person, I would be all set! Can you please make that happen. ;) And bonus if they take insurance. ;)smile

Thanks again girlie. Chronic conditions are frustrating, the ups and downs, and when your in a down place you want to fix things quickly.

I have a great functional medicine LLMD in a suburb of Boston, who does phone or video appointments (and did before the pandemic as well). He's friends with Neil Nathan (a big name in MCAS) and regularly attends the relevant conferences about mold toxicity, tick-borne illness, autoimmunity, and MCAS. He does not take insurance, though.
