I haven’t been treated by any of these - but thought I’d share with you - Buhners recommended list of herbalists.

Thank you. I have found that MD's (even Functional/Integrative ) generally don't know that much about herbs. Is yours different? Does he/she have deep familiarity of Buhner recommendations?

Yes, he's well-versed in herbs in general and in multiple herbal Lyme treatment protocols. He was happy to work with me when I had reactions to one of the "core" herbs in Buhner protocols or wanted to start very slowly, or steer clear of one thing or another. He's very flexible. That said, he is not an herbalist by training. He definitely has experience with mycotoxins, POTS, immune dysfunction, etc. and has treated Lyme without pharmaceuticals extensively. He didn't miss a beat when I said I wasn't considering pharma.

All of that said, I do agree with you about MDs in general having limited herbal knowledge. Even the ones who treat with herbs tend to know only about the basic protocols (BW, Cowden, Buhner) and don't have the expertise to deviate from those when needed. I definitely understand your hesitation and desire to see an actual herbalist! Just thought I'd mention him, just in case.
