Take this as a lesson, I cant believe how i could be so stupid. Having uphold a clean diet and my stomach has been great for weeks I happened to buy one chicken burger at mcdonalds yesterday. And this morning my stomach is running like crazy..sad

Why didn I just buy a salad as usual, or took another restaurant.

And it is not the first time, I feel like an idiot once again….

Hope this can be a reminder for me and others, when you hear that whisper in the ear that your stomach is doing fine now and some small junk food is alright, just immediately say NO and cut that devilish voice out of your system…!!!

Ugg McD’s

I rarely go there - like once every 6 months - but am always regretting it. Happens when I’m in town and I get hungry - I give in

When testing junk, start with something small and very few ingredients. I'm able to eat quite a big amount of sugar and dairy now, but I would never start with testing a burger with gluten. The first time I will test gluten it will be a very tiny amount at home.

Should have Done that, now i dont know what happened really. Could be the cheese, onion or gluten.
Never had running stomach from gluten, but as i have quit it now maybe i have gotten more sensitive...
It was just such a very strong reaction i think from a small burger, an overreaction really....

This becomes many of our realities unfortunately.

Recently, my sister in law had a birthday. My wife made a homemade cake and I couldn't resist the urge. It was SO GOOD. I was very proud of my wife, however, because it was so good I ate way too much. I spent the next 24hrs in agony.

I'm pretty good about diet, but I'm pretty sure I will rinse and repeat this behavior until the day I die. I've never been able to completely eliminate problem foods long term. I always have a weak moment where my will fades and lose discipline.

That being said, screw fast food, if I'm going to cheat and suffer the consequences I'm going to make sure it's worth it!

Could have been a touch of food poisoning.

I got diarrhea once from a fish sandwich at McD’s. Never ate another one. I generally only eat breakfast foods or fries from there. Their sandwiches creep me out anyway.

Aha, yes could have been why the reaction was quite strong..

I slipped again on friday. All workers on the job was invited for barbecue, so i had to force down two hotdogs with gluten bread and all...sad

Didn have same strong reaction though, just felt a little discomfort in stomach..

I am unbelievably stupid when it comes to keeping eating habits...

You’re not stupid. Avoiding all “normal” foods for any length of time is extremely difficult. I find dietary changes to be the absolute most difficult thing to do. To do it all right, you would have to have lots of money, time, and energy to buy a broad variety of organic foods, and then prepare 3 meals a day out of it.

I have NO willpower. I gave him heck and then proceeded to eat one... then another one and had to really hold myself back from eating the third one.

No willpower whatsoever.

Make good habits easy to do, and bad habits harder.
I use a Kitchen Safe that is a box where I can lock away stuff for up to 10 days. So yesterday I couldn’t stop eating potato chips so I just put in the kitchen safe and locked it. There is no way of opening it before the time runs out if you don’t take a hammer and smash it.

this would be my guess also

it's quite well established that ground meat in burgers has one of the highest counts of fecal bacteria of all meat products. of course it should have been properly cooked and rendered safe - but fast food outlets also typically employ low-wage labor and compliance with the preparation process/food hygiene is known to be less good on average in that population.

you could also be extra sensitive - having gut/food sensitivities already - such that something that makes another person just feel a little off - could make you feel very rough.

What adds big time to the diffuculty is not to be 100% sure what causes what. If i know gluten always cause relapse then one would be more eager and make effort to not touch it.

I reckon skipping gluten has been beneficial for long-term recovery, although eating one bread here and there occasionally I mostly dont feel any difference...

And gluten bread taste so much better than non-gluten bread...sad

MooseSafari,

I hear you on the gluten. After my IgA immunoglobulins dropped below range, I had celiac testing done. It was negative and I forgot about it. Avoiding gluten completely is a lot harder than just not eating regular bread or pasta. Even the hotdog itself could have had gluten in it. It’s in so much stuff.

I never ever ate anything more from MacDonnalds or Burger Kings, after discovering from an independent research that made a forensic analysis to mac nuggets, found the same "living" fiber wish people from morgelons have on their skin..

You might had luck, perhaps you didnt ate one of those, but this will prevent you from eating any more from McDonnalds or similar fast food stores. Better to only eat what we cook and buy meat and fish where we know it comes from..

Video report here

Its not only junk, its a portable morgellons like infection vector. Think thrice... I always make my own with fresh meat burgers and fresh fish.

Ah, yes I have learned my lesson no more McD for me. I tend to stick to Sushi Bars, I never felt bad after eating Sushi… Although a friend of mine recently told me they pour a lot of sugar into the rice, so that it isn’t very good as well… Hmm, I sometimes wish it was possible to stop eating altogether..

I found out it is just not possible to keep the diet when having a relation. Was dating last year and the good habit flied straight out the window. Better stay single with an okej stomach then was my conclusion…
