Because I get kidney stones from spring water and we have crappy tasting tap water I drink distilled water when drinking just water. (also I know it upsets people who think it will kill you so I make sure to troll everyone.)

But anything else, cooking tea, etc, I use the tap water.

I stopped drinking it a few years ago. I have AquaGear pitcher filter and a Sprite shower head filter.

We bought a Berkey years ago sometime after moving from NJ to VA. NJ water was pretty good but not so good here in VA - lots of Chlorine and now where we currently live Fluoride was added not too long ago. Had to add the Flouride filters then.

We are also using shower head filters - can't remember for sure what brand.

Water whats that? I just drink it out of the tap and don't worry about it. We have a well and have it tested about every three years.

Careful of the filters they can grow some nasty stuff worse then whats in the water.

Solid information in that article. Thanks for posting Isitlyme. Sadly, we still place trust in govt agencies to provide guidance on our health. This approach has obviously worked well for all of us here. For those with chronic diseases that affect the body's organs and ability to detox, clean water should be a top priority.

Yes, i think its very important to avoid any heavy metals inside our bodies, wish can weaken our immune systems or bring us more diseases than we already have. I always buy a 6 Liter mineral water demijohn in the store for only 0,77 $ for a long time now, and i don't regret still doing this, specially after seeing reports like this. Using filters is also a good idea.

I use both tap water filtered with a Brita and also some bottled water.

Our water tastes really good

I believe ours is treated with chlorine and ultraviolet

It is beyond frustrating what this country (and world) gets away with in harming people.

I'm a firm believer in protecting the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. It is an uphill battle though.

For the water, I installed a RO (reverse osmosis) system in the kitchen many years ago. In addition, I added a whole house (carbon) water filter as well. I'm not worried about our water with these systems at this time(?). I would be much more uncomfortable if I was doing nothing.

I'm aware of the PFAS chemicals. I just have no words on that.

It's all very discouraging. I wish people would do the right, ethical thing, but they have proven time and time again that they do not.

Our town just added Fluoride to the water about a year ago I guess, and I think it was mainly because of the influence of one elderly dentist. The council voted against it once but then it was approved later. Sad.

One note for people who use britas: make sure you are replacing the filter every 1-2 months. I have friends who replace the filter once a year. Replace them often, otherwise they won't be actively filtering the water
