I can't speak from experience here but just wanted to share a thought.
From what I understand, citrus doesn't contain high levels of histamine but instead it releases histamine stored in the body.
Here's a quote from verywellhealth.com: "In addition, while citrus fruits are not themselves considered high in histamine, they can trigger your body to release stored histamine."
A pectin is a fiber found in fruits. So the question becomes, what part of the citrus triggers an histamine release? Is it the pectin or something else?
But perhaps the question doesn't matter because supplements always come with some level of impurities. So even if the pectin isn't the issue, the supplement might have traces of other parts of the citrus that do cause an issue.
Just something to think about.
