I had a small bout in 2020 for 3 weeks and I didn’t know what it was, and then it went away. It would appear that the ****ing vaccine brought it out of hiding, because I had my second dose on 5/5/21 and this started 5/15/21.
I should have never taken it, but i bought into their safe BS. I scoured FB doing polls. In hindsight I should have known better, those tests were done on healthy people, not people like us.
You can’t talk about safety when the study wasn’t done on a patient population like ours, and I did take it of my own free will, but they shouldn’t be mandating people like us take this f’ing thing
Try not to be so hard on yourself, amigo. You made the best decision you could, given the information you studied. That's all any of us can do. It could have gone another way, too. You might have not been vaccinated, gotten sick, and wished that you had been vaccinated. You can't tell the future.
I have a close friend who had major complications with COVID. Her family was called to the hospital, more than once, as she wasn't expected to live through the night. She was in the hospital for months and just finished 60 days in a nursing facility...only because that was the limit that insurance would pay. She still has a long road to recovery. She wasn't vaccinated and her husband was. She got sick and he didn't. We don't know if the vaccine would have helped her, of course. My point, though, is you were weighing many different possible outcomes in your decision.
I'm sure most (if not all) of us have been closely following the reporting on COVID from the beginning. But, with so many voices clouding the discussion, it's hard to know what's real, what isn't, and who are the real experts. Even the "fact checkers" have been wrong. (Not entirely surprising, since many are journalists with no background in science.) The data, overall, seems somewhat unreliable. Testing, tracking, cases, infections, actual causes of death, vaccine efficacy, variants, etc. Even Dr. Pierre Kory got COVID. And now, the new Omicron variant is brewing in Africa.
Even the CDC didn't follow some WHO guidelines. Thus, if the folks at that level (with all their doctors and scientists) can't agree, you deserve to give yourself a break.
