Hi, I am suffering from blurred vision and often have headaches. I fear it is some transient disorder, but it could be something more serious. Can someone suggest me as to what to do? Your suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Ronald123,

welcome to the forum,

Have you seen a doctor or nuero yet?  If not that would be a great place to start.  Migraine can cause dizziness and headaches, but so can alot of other things.  like high blood pressure or inner ear problems or dehydration.  We are not doctors here so we can only tell you from our experiences.  I get dizziness with my migraines.  Can you tell us more?  Do you take any meds?  There are alot of great people here, welcome, welcome, welcome,

Dar

This post is a bit old, so you've probably found out.

But the blurriness may be a normal aftereffect of what is called a Migraine Aura (Hyperactivity in the Brain followed by severely depressed brain activity).

Before the blurriness do you notice anything weird in your field of vision? Try reading a book and see if you can see the letters perfectly, be sure to not if you can read from your peripheral vision.

If you notice anything (for me, I have a zig zag oval with fractals on the edges, then when it goes away I go blind on my left side) then it is most definitely a migraine aura. Consider it an early warning system, and take whatever you take for migraine relief immediately.

Go to the doctor and get checked anyways though, there is no substitute for experience.

I have suffered with chronic Migraines for the last 7 years. I have beeen on every drug cocktail that you think of with no succuss. My nero. told me on my last visit that they have exhausted all medical treatments. And as you, I suffer from blurred vision and now My family has noticed that I have one eye that drups. When The blurred vision fisrt started I went to my eye doctor, but no problem! Depending on how severe my headache is that day depends whether if I have Blurred vision in 1 eye or both but since I have daily headaches the vision problem does progress during as the day goes on  so of course evening's are worse. I also have started having problems with my balance  which I don't know if it's connected to the vision or not.

I have heard of other suffers with simialiar issues, in my case I'm going to seek out a new specialist so I can have my life back!
