I had a horrible humiliating experience today at a San Antonio walk-in clinic, where I went because I was in such severe pain.  It's too long to describe here, but I'm sure others have experienced the same.

I have had severe headaches 3-4 days per week for 30 years while raising 2 children and working as an engineer.  I have started a new job in Dallas and I desperately need a new doctor who will prescribe me narcotics.  I have read through the postings and seen a few newer preventatives that I haven't tried - at one point, I had tried them all, but newer ones are always coming up.  I would like to try these, but I need to have pain medicine to function.  I am currently living in fear of my migraines as they have been worse lately and I need to be able to function.  I will be traveling internationally and I can not afford to be in Poland or some far away place and have no medicine.

Can anyone recommend a sympathetic doctor in Dallas or surrounding area?  I just went through epidural steriod injections/physical therapy (for the 2nd time) with no luck, and most of the pain management clinics seem to focus on that type of treatment.

Thanks,
Valerie

If you have time to get into a neurologist, or doctor specializing in migraines perhaps they would be the most sympathetic.

Here are a couple of places to search for those in your area:

http://headaches.about.com/cs/profiles/p/krusz_jc.htm This doctor sounds VERY experienced, and he is in Dallas John Claude Krusz, Ph.D., M.D.
ANODYNE Headache and PainCare
5446 Glen Lakes Drive
Dallas, Texas 75231
Phone: 214-750-6664

Good luck!
