for about 2 years already, i've had either a short, light headache or a heavy one that becomes unbearable pretty much every day. i dont wear braces so it has nothing to do with that. my eyes constantly strain and the headaches feel like theyre in the back of my eyes. my eyes are also ALWAYS dry and most nights i wake up with a draft when theyre all red and i cant open them. i went to the opthomalogist...surprise...nothing's wrong with my eyes. these headaches are killing me and since apparently my eyes are fine(which theyre not) then what is making them hurt so bad?

Hiya,

It sounds to me as though you are experiencing some Autonomic Symptoms with your headache! What does your Doctor say about it? You really need to see a Neurologist who is a Headache Specialist to be properly diagnosed.

I have some autonomic symptoms with my heads, these can be a droopy eye, a watery eye, eye is bloodshot and a blocked nose.

Are you able to describe the pain at all? Is it a throbbing pain a stabbing pain, a burning pain or something else? How long do our headaches last? Are you completely pain free in between episodes of headache?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to build up a picture of what is happening to you.

take care

Ann

its more throbbing. sometimes pounding when it really hurts. then it hurts to stretch anything in my neck. and these headaches last a few good hours. even after pills it doesnt stop. between episodes it isnt too bad, but i can still feel it. thanks for the info

Are you by chance on the birth control pill? If so, you might want to stop taking it. I went off the pill due to major bad migraines, similar to what you are describing. Any migraines I get now are nowhere as bad as they used to be.

Keep track of when you get them, start a journal and write down how much sleep you got, what you ate that day, drank, what exercise you've done - Any stresses in your life, or if you have an illness - All that does affect migraines.
