It's great to have forums go vent,to share to advise. But what do we do to get real help.I don't want to be pointed to some group that's looking to the gov't to get money for research and then the research takes years and then the approval of that research for meds takes years.
I want help for migraineurs NOW.There has to be something that can be done if all these websites and forums and blogs would come together and get the message out. This is ridiculous that we are in such a primitive age when it comes right down to it.How many people out there don't even believe migraine is a disease.
I'm tired of being treated like I'm looking for attention. If it's one way to get no attention,it's to say you get migraines! There has to be a way. There are too many people suffering, even dying from migraine.Yet,all you get is some stupid commercials with a lady with a migraine popping a pill and kicking the little green monster away.Oh,how cute! Why not show her throwing up until she passes out.Or going into convulsions.Or losing her job.
It's trivial on tv and in most people's minds.Talk about adding insult to injury,go to the er.I'd be better off being a drug addict needing to be detoxed. This is a farce.I'm in pain 24/7 and my insurance company messed me over,so now I have none.I got bad enough treatment with insurance. There has got to be a better way.
