I have certainly heard that a lot of headaches and possibly migraines and definately sleep disorders can be attributed to the invisible elctromagnetic impulses floating through the air. Using a head set/head phone/ear peice helps. Also heard that it's good to sleep at least 6 feet away from electronic equipment including your alarm clock.
Incidentaly, I have an uncanny ability to be able to tell whenever someone turns the T.V. on regardless if it is muted and even when I am across the house in another room. I seem to be very sensitive to the rays it emits... and if you listen really closely, you can actually hear a very high pitched noise, similar to when I also turn on a computer monitor. Interesting to note, however, that my parents T.V. doesn't have as negative an effect on me and it is much newer (I'm not sure of the type difference other than the fact that it is different and is a flat screen). Anyway, I often turn the T.V. off if I'm having a headache or go into another room where it's not as irritating.
