I've noticed that a lot of you all are being treated with blood pressure meds. Do any of you on these meds actually have high blood pressure? Is anyone aware of why the doctors are perscribing this for migraines? I'm thinking probably something to do with constricting blood vessals.... just my guess, but I wanted to know what the link is between the bp meds and the migraines.
The kind of migraines I have are from dilating so, I'm thinking that taking something to reduce blood pressure would make my already low blood pressure much worse. Unless... if you took something like pomegranate which helps with blood pressure, would that equalize it regardless if your bp was high or low? Does anyone out there know?
Naturally speaking, I do know that increasing water intake will help with blood volume (for those that have low pressure, 16 oz. can make a big difference) and also electrolytes will help stabalize the osmotic pressure in your cells/tissue (which helps with swelling tissue/water retention in your brain & body).
