Hello Katy,

Have you ever tried any self-massage techniques?  I usually find that to be helpful.  Also, I always find that having a good laugh decreases tension, which can decrease the tension headaches.  Below is a webpage that has a list of funny warning lables that are put on products...they never fail to give me a laugh

I hope you get some relief,
~Liz

Hey Katy,

Here's a website for some self-massage specifically for tension headaches

While it is self-massage, it also feels great if you can get someone else to do it for you :P  One of the great things about it is that it doesn't take much time and you can even do it while you're at work or in some other stressful situation.

Best wishes :)

Hi, I usually hang out in the Anxiety/Panic forum, but I just have a question for anyone who gets tension headaches....does anyone ever get tension headaches only on one side of you head/neck? I've read a lot about tension headaches and most of the information I've read says they are unlikely to occur on only one side of the head/neck. I usually only get my headaches on one side and they feel like tension headaches-tightness in the head and neck. Anyone have the same thing?

Hello LoloBug,
While tension headaches are unlikely to occur on just one side, it has been known to happen.  Of course, you might want to talk to your doctor about it because there could be an issue of a pinched nerve or something like that.  It's always good to just rule those things out.

I hope you get some relief,
~Liz
