Hi all...I'm new to this forum. I've been reading your posts for several months though.
Introducing myself, I'm 22 year old male and I've been having this headache for 3 years now.
It first started 3 years ago when I had to suffer from this extreme stress for the whole summer.
At the time, it was mostly dull, tight, heavy feeling around my head.
I had it for about
one year and somehow I got over it with some anti-depressants.
But it all started again when I had to deal with roommate issues.
From then on, I started to have headaches more frequently with new type of symptoms.
It was aching, sore, and a bit of burning sensation.
Anyways it occurred repeatedly and about
a year ago it became constant.
I constantly have the pain no matter what although the degree of pain varies.
My doctor told me that it is definitely not migraine and it's more like tension-type.
I'm really worried now if I ever gonna live without this pain.
Now I desperately need some advice from you.
So far, I've tried Inderal, Lexapro, Pamelor but nothing has worked.
Now I'm on Effexor XR 75 mg daily and some natural supplements. (multi-vitamin, vitamin B2, feverfew)
It's been only a weak so I cannot tell if this has an effect on me.
There are few other things I want to try like Verapamil (calcium-channel blocker) and Topamax.
But I'm not sure which will fit my situation. I also don't want these medications to aggravate my depression.
For the acute pain treatment, I'd like to know if Toradol or Fioricet works well.
Thank you for your helps in advance.
By the way, I'm currently on Jefferson headache center treatment.
