Hey all!
Just found your site and read through some posts.  It's amazing how many of us suffer so much!  Frequetly research migraine sites, sooo much info. out there!
I've had migraines for 20 years now.  I've been through many different meds. Finally found the triptan Zomig helps.  I get migraines about 4 time per week, usually lasting 1/2 a day, sometimes for days.  I wish I could take my Zomig like a vitamin, daily, but obviously can't.  My biggest trigger
is ... breathing, lol.  Actually, I lost track of the triggers, but I am a human beromter with the weather patterns.  I am extremely sensitive to ANY change in climate ... bango - migraine !  Happily married, 3 great kids, homemaker and I live on Long Island, New York.  I run regularly and keep fit -Other than the migraine madness, Life Is Good !   Darn these migraines !  They are so debilitating! I want to get out and live more life !!!!
Looking forward to enjoying this site and the support and understanding of other sufferers!

Welcome merelle!
I don't usually post on this board, well not very often, anyway.  But I caught your introduction and thought I'd go ahead and reply.  The migraines that I've had have been few and far between.  And for that, I am eternally grateful.  I do live with chronic pain, just about everywhere else in my body, though.  So I do well know what it's like to live in pain.  I have seen some very helpful and knowledgeable replies on this forum, so I'm sure you will receive some more replies, from people who have been there and done that, with migraines.  I moderate the Chronic Pain forum and the CFS forum, here at HealingWell, and I know that migraines often accompany other chronic illnesses.  So you are fortunate to be healthy otherwise.  I'm so glad that you are able to run and keep fit.  As scary of thought that it is, your overall fitness probably is protecting you from worse headaches.  So I say "Run On!!!"  Well, please feel free to visit and participate in other forums, if you're interested.   I'm sure you have a lot to offer this board, from your experience with migraines.  I look forward to getting to know you better.  All best.

Hi...I am also new to this forum. I also experience migraines about 3-4 times/week for the past 20 years. I am a 32 year old mother of 2 and try to run three times per week. I've had every test known to man kind and am now on a RX of an anti-siezure med. My Imitrix works, but feel guilty I am taking a full rx every 2 weeks...that can't be good for me. I have lost track of triggers...and every friend and family member seems to have THE ANSWER and are dumbfounded I haven't considered their idea/quick fix sooner. I feel just like you..I want to be able to get out and do more with my kids, etc and not be in bed for so many un needed hours each week nursing the pain.
Hope to talk with you again.

Well here goes....
Hi My name is Dar, I have had severe migr. for 22years. I have tried many many diferent drugs and combos. I only recently (last 13-16 mos)started getting severe neck pain along with my headaches. I was thrilled to see that other people are also experiencing this. I'm sorry that we are but... I saw a new neurologist today and he wants to start at the begining. Nortriptoline, verapamil for prevention and a small does of vicodin for pain, and he said "I have not heard of migr. and neck pain being connected with one another" I had almost given up hope.
I'm feeling really low and very frustrated. I've been down this road before. When my husbands insurance changes I have to start at the begining. I am so happy that I have found a site that may help me address these headaches or at least help me to know things are not hopeless and I am not crazy!
I hope to speak to you all soon
