For the past 2 years, I've been getting one headache once a week.  Literally not one week missed.  Always, 1 headache per week.  There was a 6 month period where I got a headache every single Friday or Saturday.  I even got a CT scan, but no problems there.  Anyhow, my headache stopped so far after I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis.  I got a headache 4 days in a row until I was hospitalized.  Since I was malnourished and dehydrated, the put IV's in me like 3 different kinds of nourishing IV's one was white, others were clear and yellow.  After being in the hospital for 2 weeks, I havent had a headache yet.
Getting one headache per week was so difficult for me.  I hated that pounding on my head feeling with the blood in my brain throbbing and thumping.  I feel really bad for people who are getting them every day.

Diagnosed: UC pancolitis July/2008
Meds: prednisone 6 tabs once a daytapering, medilac probiotic 2 tabs 3 times a day, mucosta, asacol 2 tabs 3 times a day, octiran

Dehydration can be a migraine trigger which is why you may have gotten a migraine those few days in a row.

As for getting one migraine a week always on a Friday or a Saturday, is there something different you do at the end of the week that you don't do other days of the week? Something different that you eat or drink that may trigger your migraine? Could you be sleeping more or less on that day? Do you keep a migraine diary? That may be able to help you identify what is different and what could be triggering this once a week migraine. Good luck!
