Have had migraines since age 10.
A few months ago started having new acute cutting type pain like something needed to POP and or come out of my head.
Went to a 'headache' Dr and finally got the MRI order- they did several types of tests.
The radiologists are supposed to be experts in their field.
The reading radiologist report states' approximate 3 mm lesion in the right white cerebellar which most likely represents a
"Gray Matter Heterotopia"

I have the CD and the report.

The 'headache' Dr would not give me a referral to another specialist such as a neurologist etc..
but dismissed the DX and findings saying that it is 'normal' and prescribed yet ANOTHER medication.

The radiologist specialists state ONLINE in their ad that they offer free sit down conultations with their patients~ that they are 'Patient Advocates'
but when trying to make the appt they stated 'oh we don't do that at this office'.

Still having the pain and not sure what to do....
anyone have this DX ??
suggestions? ideas?
thanks.

I googled it, and it can be nothing in females, but is associated with epilepsy. They prescribe topamax. As for seeing another doctor, I would go to my primary and demand a referral for another doctor!!

I have had headaches since age 5. Currently being seen at Jefferson Headache Center in Phila. It's a lengthy process, since I've had migraines every day for a least a year.

Hope you get answers soon!

Be well, dj
