I have suffered from these feelings in my head off and on now for a decade my mind seems to go into a state of numbness in various situations: social contact, stressful events, and just randomly. I get tension in my neck and back and my thoughts dont flow through as normal (almost feels as if my mind seizes), its an uncomfortable feeling but have no real pain. Isolating myself, sleep, and ice helps relieve it some. I have seen doctor after doctor and still no clear answer. I dont know if anyone has any suggestions on what i should do or what tests i could have done? any suggestions are appreciated!!

Hi,

Do you suffer with anxiety or panic attacks? Sometimes you can get symptoms like these with anxiety.

Hi,

Have you checked out this site? http://www.stresscenter.com/
It is a great site for people with anxiety and panic disorder. You don't have to purchase the program to go on there. They have a great forum, where you can see posts covering every symptom imaginable, which makes you feel better, just knowing you are not alone. They give some great advice too. I think it is great you are getting it checked out by the medical profession, then you know what you are dealing with. Good luck, stay positive, our minds can do some weird stuff sometimes.

It may be stress or having hard time coping, like burnout, which can happen after a long time of trying to deal with problems in life and a person can come to the end of what they want to deal with anymore. It could also just be a problem of circulation which can effect the thinking process. Depression can also cause some of the symtoms. Have you been checked for Lyme Disease?
Hope you can get some help. Stay positive.
