confused hi group.... looking for a bit of advice, im a well and truly fed up with darn migraines, recently my beloved wife brought me a nintendo ds (im 37 by the way) for a prezzie, i was well chuffed and couldnt stop playing with it, until... i was woken at approx 2am with the biggest and most brutal migraine (didnt know it was a migraine at the time... thought i was had a brian swelling or something equally as nasty), i stumbled my way to the Nurofen in the pantry (was on holiday at the time too) and took two, about 5 mins after that i threw up violently and had to take another two, about 40 mins after that i finally fell asleep and woke up with what can only be described as feeling like a pillow had been stuffed inside my head, this happened more times and i matched it up with times i was playing on my DS, so... that being sold instantly, i thought that it would go away, no chance... now if i sit at my laptop for a length of time i can almost guarantee being woken in the early hours of the morning, only the migraines have changed, now it feel like there is a huge pressure behind my eyes, almost as if they have swollen to thirteen times their usual size, i have been to my local GP and they have given me 12.5mg ALMOTRIPTAN, to take if i think im going to get one and i have also been to the opticians and had a thorough eye test, they said i was 20/20, i use the laptop quite a bit for work and im researching a book, i was wondering if reading glasses would help at all, or even sunglasses ? My local GP although good to a point seems to have a distinct lack of knowledge when it comes to matters of the head, this is whats lead me to this forum, any help would be greatly appreciated, sorry for the length of the post, its given me a headache just writing it !
