I am a 30yr old mom of 2.  I never had a problem with headaches before, but immediately after the birth of my second son, I've had this daily head pressure or fullness type feeling that is always there.  I did have preeclampsia at the end of this pregnancy which developed into HELLP syndrome and even after delivery my blood pressure was high and finally went back to normal after 4 months. I have had CT,MRI,MRA of head and neck, all normal.  Blood work fine. Tried migraine meds, muscle relaxers, Paxil (now off of). Also tried chiropractic, and accupunture.  Just had an occipital nerve block 2 weeks ago, no real change.  Some Dr's say it may be stress, other say it is structural. Have spent so much $$$.  It has been 9 months now and assuming it is not hormonal.  Does anyone have any thoughts?

Did you have an epidural? Have they checked for a spinal fluid leak? Usually those headaches are much worse than what you are describing, but maybe you have a really small leak? Just something to rule out at any rate....

I would be asking a few questions if it started after a spinal/epidural. I just had a baby also and had the same type things you are talking about...HELLP syndrome etc. My headaches were bad before I got pregnant and pretty bad again after I had her. I have been getting nerve blocks and Radiofrequency nerve ablation for "occipital neuralgia". It has worked well in conjunction with duragesic patches.
check into the spinal stuff, then I would see about hormones (it is a possibility)
good luck, I hope that helped some

I did question the possibility of some sort of spinal fluid leak with the epidural, but given my symptoms, the did not feel that it was related. It is not a positional headache, and does not get worse if I am standing verses lying down. It's more of a fullness feeling. I did have an occipital nerve block in Dec, but did not see a difference. Of all the blood work i had, everything was in normal ranges. I would assume the may have checked hormones due to it being after the pregnancy, not for sure though.

Hi PrincessJes. Im not sure if this will help but are you drinking lots of good filtered water a women need about 2.2lts a day I would say more if she was breast feeding. Do the headaches fell like they are coming from your back or neck or both. Stress along with not to much sleep can have a big in packed on the body along with hormones. I would recommend putting some castor oil on but Im think you are still breast feeding and the two can't be mixed, I don't know if you can get it but if you can there is a cream could pain-away that is safe you use when breast feeding just rub it on your neck and back and head where it is sore this might help you out. But please remember Im not Dr.

( Im a father of 5 girls and this has help us get some more sleep just remember that kids get growing pains all the time so when your girl is crying for no good rezone it growing pain most likely a quick little massage should help you out don't for get the legs this is the main spot we have found ) I hope some Iv said helps you out ALL THE BEST for 2012
Sick of seeing meds fix's won thing and bugger some thing ells. Google the effects of every thing and read every thing you can, Mother nature gave us all we need ( ALL MOST ) she might not be easer way or the quickest. Start be drinking more flitted water and google Dehydration as 98% of us are. Do as to others as you would want done to you and you should live a long and happy life.

My wife had a headache and migraines that lasted 9 months after she gave birth to our second child. We finally decided to try a gluten-free diet, and the headaches disappeared 4 days later. She was all the way better after a few months of strictly no gluten. After spending lots of money on healthcare this was an unexpected solution. Good luck everyone.
