Hi Just need a bit of reaasurance I suppose, I have suffered migraines on and off since puberty though more off than on, but since starting the menopause, (8 yrs ago) they got worse.I am now 54 (Last week) and the last couple of times I have had a migraine they have been really nasty, with visuals nausea, and head pain, last week got one on fri eve, and one 8 hrs later and then one on the sat early afternoon, then again one on the following tuesday, and another one today, but during the week have also been spotting as though is the end of a period. Has anyone else had this, and is it hormonal or is this a cause to worry. Thanks

Hi and Welcome!

Sorry for the delay on replying to your post...

I have found that a huge "trigger" for a lot of peoples migraines/head pain are HORMONES so it could be menstrual, menopausal, having a baby, being pregnant etc.

I think you should talk to your doctor and work to find a preventative or even an acute medicine to take when the hormone levels fluctuate. You shouldnt have to just "live with it"
