I have had migraines and daily headaches since 1987. (been a long road) In 1987 I had my first CaT scan.Everything was normal. In 2003 I had an MRI of my head/neck because I have had a non-stop neckache since 1987.(multiple whiplashes to say the least) The Drs. said everything was normal with head and neck. But 3 yrs. later I decided to get my medical records and the results showed that I had a bulging disc in my neck(like my back=DDD) and that I have 4-5 brain lesions. But that it was more than the normal amount for someone my age. Noone told me I had brain lesions. When I confronted the Drs. they said it was normal for people that get migraines to have brain lesions. It is not NORMAL for me!Lesions do not belong in MY brain.

Anyway, noone knows anything about these lesions and I am to just ignore, not worry about.Which I don't,but I still wonder...am I going to get more lesions? Are they going to effect body function? I already have fibromyalgia and my memory is shot.

Lesions on the brain are pretty common with migraines, I even read that 38% of people WITHOUT migraines have small brain lesions.

Also, women with migraines were more likely to have brain lesions. The more frequent their migraines, and the more they had migraine with aura, the more likely they were to have brain lesions.

***will post more later, bad head pain*** Im sorry

I am lucky I never had an aura with any of my migraines. Before Imitrex injections I suffered immensely. I begged people to kill me and put me out of my misery.I no longer ever feel that bad.Thank God for the miracle drug.
