I have had migraines for as long as I can remember. My mom remembers me in the dark in my room crying with headaches. I have had a cat scan and mri and nothing was detected. I went to a nuerologist and he said I had cronic rebound syndrome. I think that was a generic diagnosis. My headaches are concentranted behind my right eye. They can last days or weeks on end. He put me on topamax and said to start reducing the amount of over the counter stuff I took to relieve the pain. The topamax gave me what is commonly known as the STUPIDS... I couldn't concetrate, I didnt understand what I was reading regardless of wht it was....lets put it this way I was helping my 8 year old with math homework and couldnt figure out what 12+3 was. I called the neurologist and he told me to stick it out and go to the ER if I couldnt handle the pain of the migraine. I am at my wits end and have lost all faith in medicine. I also am a sufferer of Granuloma Anulara. And am curious if the two are linked. What was amusing was during the 18 months of my combines pregnancies I can remember no migraines. I am not sure what this could be linked to. I am just looking for some help and mayeb someone else out there who ahs had somewhat of the same experiences. Please help...Thanks alot for taking the time to read this.
