I'm 27, and disabled by my headaches and migraines, which are constant, daily, always. (Started about 14 years ago, have been constant for the last 5 years).

But the TV and the computer screen hurt my eyes/head, having enough light to read is almost impossible, and I'm going nuts from boredom...I just can't sleep any more than I already am (up to 20+ hours a day when possible).  But when I'm awake...I'M BORED!!! and going nuts...

What are your coping techniques... for the pain, as well as the boredom?

Audio books are nice because you don't have to use your eyes.

I have had headaches bilateral temples for ten years. This headache has been steady for two years and horrible for one year. I can't get much sleep. I have been treated for tmj and am now being followed by a natural pain relief center. Having a routine is important which is what I am working on now since I wasn't sleeping at night. I must be up at eight, outside for half an hour if it's sunny , shower, go for a walk, and do your things for the day. Difficult right now due to the pain and no energy. Diet changes are also what I am doing now, fruit, veg. nut, fish, chicken, turkey,, so no sugar, wheat etc etc. for two weeks. and I am on some natural supplements to increase and produce serotonin. I have just weaned off of Morphine as it wasn't helping anyways and was wreaking havoc on my body.
For my boredom I read, use the laptop, TV, clean house, short shopping, bike, mag. now mind you this is just recently.

Wishing you all headache free days.

Tell me what therapies you have tried. I continue with massage and occ. chiro right now but have done everything that is out there it seems.
