After checking out this forum I've realized I'm getting Ocular Migraines. Those of you that have it know, but just to confirm I have it, basically I get a small blind spot that grows and grows, and a headache at the end of it, however last night I didn't get a headache at all and it was shorter than usual.
I'm kind of wondering what triggers it, how I can prevent it (can I totally prevent it?).
I'm really worried because I've invested so much into pilot training, and hope to be a commercial pilot one day, but going blind for 25min at a time isn't too great for that. The thing is, the ONLY times I've ever had it trigger, is while watching tv, or on the computer. Throughout my hours and hours and hours of flying I haven't had it occur once. Unfortunately I'm afraid to go to the doctor or something incase it makes me invalid or something like that.
It only started happening this year, once every few months, but this month alone I've had it like 3 times, so I'm wondering if this will continue to get worse, or if anything can be done about it.
I'm 19 right now.
It's so hard to not go on the tv or computer though, I don't know if avoiding the computer/tv will stop it completely or not, or if it'll make a difference.
