It has been proven helpful for SOME people. However, you should consult your doctor before deciding, and a neurologist.

I started botox about 1 yr ago at the cleveland clinic-my ins. covers it and if it didn't, I would not be able to do so.
It is very cosltly, but my experience has been that it hs helped with intensity and frequency quite a bit. Before I couldn't get my kids off to school on my bad days-and now I always do but they still come and some are very bad. BUT, It has helped me live a somewhat of a normal life. If anyones ins. pays for it, I'd recommend it! It takes a while to get in approved-but worth the wait. Let me know if you have any other questions.
