Can you tell me about your RF nerve ablations that you get done. I have had headaches for ten years, it is a continuous bilateral temporal headache. It has not stopped for almost two years now. The pain is 10/10. No meds help, dr.s don't know what to do, no form of therapy will help. I live in Ontario and it seems that these forms of treatment are not done here or I just can't find where.

Thanks for any help. This pain is horrilbe and has me in bed most of the time with ice on my head.

Hi Suzane,

I am sorry I have been away. I actually had surgery and am recovering from a spinal cord stimulator implant.

I would suggest a pain management doctor-that is where I have had nerve blocks (which helped some and then lead to the RFL), radiofrequency lesioning/nerve ablation and then ultimately the SCS implant (trial and then permanent)

My head pain is generally right sided occipital neuralgia, constant pain which only varies in severity.

I am not really familiar with the specifics on healthcare in Ontario...do you have access to a specialist!?

please feel free to email me (click the envelope by my name) if you have specific questions. I have not been able to sit up too long to access the computer.

try to hang in there until you get your hands on some new options!!

take care,

Sara
