Has anyone had any luck with using coQ10 for headaches?  I just went back to my family Dr (whom I see because he has personal experience in dealing with chronic daily headaches with his own daughter, he's more likely to stay abreast of new treatments). Anyway, after my last failure with wellbutrin (was feeling a little depressed too), this last trip he said "I've got something new to try for a while, try taking 300mg of coQ10/day (100mg - 3xday) and 400mg of riboflavon (vit B2). Lots of people have had success with this."  It seems harmless enough (and definitely compared to what I've tried in the past) so I started yesterday. I researched it and found a few places talking about studies done which showed it helped. He also said if this doesn't work by itself, people have been adding singular to the mix. That seems harmless too. I took that when I had bronchitis (pre=headaches). Anywho, just curious.

I took 300 mg of CoQ10 and 400 mg of B2. I still take the B2 but stopped the CoQ10 because its expensive and didn't really seem to be helping. I've called off work for the last month because of my head. I also take 400 mg of magnesium every day.

I tried daily CoQ10 for about 6 months and it made no difference.

I've been taking it daily for many years for heart and prostate health but it's never helped my headaches. I've never had any success w/ any supplements -- tried Magnesium, Folic Acid, B vitamins, Feverfew, Butterbur.
