For the last 24 hours I have suffered 3 auras, 2 severe migraines, and one extremely debilitating with repeated vomiting, and pain as intense as labor pains and kidney stone pains combined. All three times I started getting the auras I took Ibuprofen(up to 800mg) and when that failed tylenol with it but nothing helped except rest. I'm still nauseous and I can feel another crippling one comming on within the next couple of hours. I'm am terrified of going through that pain again. Should I see a doctor tonight if another crippling one sets in and if not can I wait the weekend or should I still see one right away?

I'm sorry Stacy that you didn't get any replies. Sometimes the weekends can be slow around here. How are you feeling today? I hope you are getting some relief from the pain. I would say you should definitly see your doctor, maybe they can get you on some kind of preventive med and something for a rescue when you do get a migraine. Have you had migraines for awhile? I hope you come back to the forum, I am sure some of the regulars will be around then. Take care and I hope you are feeling better.

I hear ya

When I get mine, I have give up. I need release - immediately and will do anything to get medication. Currently mine is Relpax. However if you things that solves your problem, then no. These meds are designed to make the companies that made them a fortune. They change you in the equivalent of a junkie, seeking a fix every few days. Except junkies get the fun part and we get the hagngover.

I am very sorry. Very few people find a solution and most people struggle that get this curse with this for decades. PLease be stronger than anything they asked of you in life before because you will need it.

So sorry all of you deal with these terrible headaches. I have chronic daily migraines and the neurologist has yet to find a medication that has given me any relief. Imagine dealing with migraines on a daily basis. It has effected not only me but my family. So many things I can't do or feel like doing. Right now I take lamictal ~ for seizure control, zanaflex, firociet, phenagran, klonipan and vitamins. I have also had brain surgery for a seizure disorder, the surgery was sucessful. Now to get rid of these daily migraines. Thank the good Lord for His strength or else I'd never get through this.

Best of luck,
