For no better name I have had what I can flash Migraines for 33 years. They only happen 10-15 times a year. But they are really very scary. This is best as I can describe them. I can be in a good mood, feel fine, no headache, nothing going on (that I think) is stressful. Then bang it is like I am hit with thousands of pounds on pressure on my head, I think it is the top of my head for the most part. When this happens I will normally grab something like a table or chair nearby. I move forward somewhat. I when this happens I have even throw what I was holding. This lasts maybe just a few seconds. Afterwards I get a little nervous but not as bad as I used to. The 1st time it happened I was only 16. I have been to a few doctors about it. They have done CTscans, flashed lights at me, played music off in the distance etc to get one to happen in the doctor’s office. They always stay they have no clue if they cannot get to see it actually happen. Anyone else have something like this happen? Or maybe have any clue what it may be. I live with this, not know when and where it will happen again. Not very fun.

Thanks for reading

Welcome Gaither, I am sorry you are having such scary experiences. I have daily headaches and migraines 1-2 times a week so I know all about head pain. I have never had what you are having though and it sounds really scary. I wish I could offer more information, but hopefully someone will be by that may know what you are going through. I hope you get some relief soon and keep on posting here, it's a wonderful forum!
Gentle Hugs,

Shannon

Thanks Shannon. Had another flash headache today. Maybe it is just the weather and lots of stress, really no clue. Hope your doing ok with your headaches as best you can anyways.

Hi Gaither, I haven't had quite what you are taling about, but I do get these sharp shooting pains in my head that stop me in my tracks. I have chronic daily migraines. I have yet to find a migraine med that works. Have tried imitrex, relpax, maxalt, zomig, topamax, the list goes on....... Right now I just take fioricet, and zanaflex along with klonopin. It doesn't do a lot but does help me to sleep at night. I had brain surgery several years ago because of having scar tissue on my brain which caused me to have seizures for over 25 years of my life. Neurologist don't really know if my surgery has made the migraines worse or what is going on. I hope this finds you doing a lot better. It's hard living with daily chronic pain.

Many Blessings,

Mercyme
