I'm 29 years old and have been experiencing sharp 2-3 minute pains on my right temple. This pain stops me from doing anything for those couple of minutes. It spreads to the back of my right eye, to my right cheek and at times goes all the way to the back of my head.
I do not know what triggers it. It also occurs sporadically and leaves a dull pain for about 10 minutes afterwards. Today I have had it appear at least 6 times already.
I went to the optometrist and he doesn't see anything wrong with my optical nerve. My neurologist did an MRI and it turns out the scan was fine. I am at a loss right now as all tests have come back fine and I am still experiencing these sharp pains.
I read about neuralgia and all the different types, but am not sure if I may have this. Does anyone experience any symptoms like this?
Any advice or responses would be appreciated.
