Hello. My first ever post. Have had peculiar headaches for appx. 2 years. At first it would strike twice monthly. Last for two days. Seemed it would simply be done at exactly 48hours. Accompanied by extreme nausea, Very debillitating. No aura or eye symptoms simply crushing pain on one side of head usually left side. Headaches became more infrequent. However, I finally sought help from chiropractor. Who says: my neck has no curve, possible spinal fluid leak. Wanted an MRI to continue with me. I did not comply. Have had amazing relief after an unusual four day episode with avcupubcture, and deep tissue massage. No headache for five months. next time I tried that remedy it didn't help. I also reduced my physical activity such as lifting heavy items which seemed to help reduce episodes. U have tried a few pilates moves to prevent a headache from becoming full blown. Doesn't always work. The point is , I compare my version with so many others and it seems quite different. For instance mine will occur if I go to sleep to late. I will wake up with the headache. ( this is not a consistent trigger, none are consistent). When I lie down pain is more extreme. This seems opposite to so many other symptoms I read about. I am now having residual sensation from a two day headache. Feels like a nerve in my head us aggravated. Headed to neurologist soon. I am hoping he us interested in Really Figuring This Out. To the Forum....any comments??

Hello MissVI,
I would suggest checking out this website http://www.webmd.com/migraines-headaches/guide/migraines-headaches-symptoms I've found it to be very helpful with trying to figure out what type of headache or migraine I was having. There are also more links on that site about headaches and migraines. I hope you find what you're looking for and your visit to the neurologist is helpful.

Good luck
Lindsey
