Unlike a lot of you, I've only been suffering from migraines since January 11, 2008. That migraine lasted til April. I spent 4 months in bed, so many trips to family Dr., Neurologist, Chiropractor, OBGYN, whoever I could find to try to help me. The winter of 2009 wasn't much better.
Fast forward to today... I did great over the summer! Only 4 or so migraines for the whole season!! They were quick ones... take a pill, go to bed, then wake up feeling better! As soon as the weather started changing a few weeks ago (I live in Ohio), my migraines are out of control again. This current migraine has not left for 3 weeks.
I currently take Gabapentin, Aleve and Relpax. Relpax is no longer working for me...just like all the other triptans! Which scares the crap out of me! What do I do when there are no more triptans to try? Zomig is the only one I haven't tried. I'm trying to hold off on trying that one till around Christmas. That way I can get through the holidays.
My next step is Botox? I'm thinking it's either that or I'm moving to a warmer climate where I don't have this crazy weather pattern. Truthfully, I'm ready to pack up my family and move. But then, what do I do when/if it quits working like everything else?
I can't imagine spending another winter in bed...like the last 2 winters!

Well, I have a consultation tomorrow for the botox injections. Not sure what is going to happen. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!

I know how you feel. I've tried a lot of  migraine meds with no sucess. I was admitted to UVA in Charlottesville for 3 days to have DHE IV treatments. Well that didn't work either. I had a terrible  migraine yesterday, the ones when it hurts to move your head the least bit. I haven't tried botox yet due to the cost, and my insurance won't cover it.  I'm disappointed that the DHE treatments didn't work and now am receving the medical bills for it.  Well I guess you don't know if something is going to work unless you try it.  I hope botox injections will help you.
  Many Blessings,

Before you go for the botox, listen up, I've suffered from severe Migrane headaches for well over 10 years. I had been to 6 different Neurologists and each one of them had given me different prevention pills to try and keep the headaches away but nothing worked and I was tired of putting all that medication in my body. Well, one day at work I was talking to a co-worker who had suffered for a long time from Migranes as well and had come across this all natural juice called. She had tried it, and after just a few short months was completely headache free. I was pretty hesitant at first myself, but at this point, I had sufferered for so long, that I figured I had nothing to lose. This juice comes from a desert cactus in Arizona and Mexico. Basically, what you do is start with a loading dose for 1 month which is 3 to 6 ounces a day just to get the toxins out of your body. I started to feel a lot better after just a few days and after a month on the juice, I felt like a totally new person! It has many more great health benefits too! It also helps with inflamation, reduces swelling in joints and muscles, helps with allergies, reduces stress, gives you more energy, and more. And the best part, you have a 60 day money back guarantee. If you don't like it, or you don't get results, you get your money back, no questions asked, it's that simple! I was impressed with the company so much, that I decided to become an affiliate and start selling it and telling people about it myself.
