This has already happened 2 times and it feels like I'm getting increasingly stronger migraine symptoms.

I just want to know if anyone here has ever had the same symptom(├žause it's scary).

Before a migraine, I can't recognize my hands. I look down at them and have a very weird feeling "these do not belong to me".

I can still move them and tell myself over and over again that it's just some weird hallucination, but even touching them feels weird. I can't even look at them.

It's usually the first feeling I have that tells me I'll have migraine again. Then follows numbness in the hands or on one side of the face, sometimes even nose and tongue. After that I have vision problems and hypersensitivity to smells, sounds and lights.

Then the pain and nausea.

I only have migraines a few times a year, so it's not that often and sleeping + pills sort them out in a day.

But I have tried googling my newest symptom to no avail and I fear it might be something more serious. :(

Dear Vetinari. I get an earache, in my left ear only and I know I'm going to have a migraine; I also will have disturbances in my vision prior to an aura. I think a lot of us have an odd thing happen prior to a migraine, but I would say that if you haven't seen a GOOD migraine specialist ( a neuro who specializes), you should as soon as you can!

Posted 1/3/2011 11:31 AM (GMT -6) scary. I haven't had any migraines that had such scary effects. I am sorry you are having to deal with this. I would suggest seeing a neuro too. I hope you all can get some answers soon. Take care.

Sorry to hear about your new development.

My migraines evolved to where I had trouble forming sentences and words like 'table' didn't seem to be the correct word for where I ate meals. It is VERY scary! I was so scared I thought I was having a stroke. I set up an MRI with my neurologist to make sure that wasn't the case (it wasn't). But I still wonder if it wasn't more than a migraine, because there are just some things I don't remember.

Keep us posted...I hope you don't have them too often!
